EXTRACT of the minutes of the Demolition Committee meeting, held in the Council Chamber, 303 Beaconsfield Boulevard, Beaconsfield, Quebec, on March 11, 2025, at 5 p.m.:

The Gris Orange firm Heritage report argues for low architectural value, high historical value and low contextual value.

Unfortunatly, the engineer reports states that the maintenance was not sufficient for many years, with unstable foundation, water infiltration, mould, and possible contaminants. The engineer’s report also mentioned that because the house’s structure was unstable and weakened, there was a risk that the house could collapse, if it was lifted, in order to rebuild the foundation. After reviewing the file, he can only conclude that the cost of repairs is far greater than the economical value of the site.
